How Macy's sales work

Macy's runs a near-constant rotation of named sale events, usually layered on top of already-reduced prices. The biggest savings come when a store-wide event code stacks with clearance markdowns.

• Look for the event code (for example BEST) in the banner and on product tiles that say “look for items labeled…”. It is usually applied at checkout, not automatically.
• Event sales often end on a Sunday or Monday; beauty and fragrance discounts are typically smaller (around 15%) than apparel and home.
• Gift-with-purchase offers on beauty brands run separately from percentage-off events and can often be combined.
• Offers labeled for Star Rewards or Macy's card members only are left out of AllSalesToday because not everyone can use them.
